Objectives

  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of a First Responder in different emergency situations.
  • Develop skills in rapid patient assessment, identifying life-threatening conditions, and prioritizing treatment.
  • Master basic life support (BLS) techniques, including CPR, airway management, and use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs).
  • Learn to control severe bleeding, manage fractures, and stabilize spinal injuries using immobilization techniques.
  • Provide first aid for medical emergencies such as heart attacks, strokes, seizures, and diabetic crises.
  • Understand how to handle environmental emergencies such as hypothermia, heat stroke, and drowning incidents.
